After getting knocked, rapidly and repeatedly press X down to restore a small amount of energy and help prevent a knockout.

Unlocking Hidden Characters
Complete Training mode with any character to unlock 1 hidden character. Complete Pro tourament to unlock the 2nd hidden character. Complete Top Contender tournament to unlock the 3rd hidden character. Complete World Championship tournament to unlock the 4th hidden character. Complete the hidden Intercontinental tournament to unlock the final hidden character.

Play As Trainer
Successfully complete training mode with one character to unlock the trainer in 1 player, 2 player and training mode.
