Bring Down Wanted Level
If you have a high wanted level and you don't want to change you car, just go to a shop and spray and re-spray your car until you get your wanted level to where you want it. You can still have the same color as what you went in with. Depending on your level, you should spend between $500-$3000.

Sonny's And Taz's Car
If you wanna get both of Sonny's and Taz's car, this is what you do, first beat Sonny and when they put the 3 markers and you gotta pick 2 markers out of those, Sonny's car is in the third marker, when you choose the third marker it should say "you just got the rival's car." Then do the same for Taz. Taz's car should also be in the third marker.

Last Mission
After you beat Razor and the cops come, Cross(the main cop) should tell his partner (the girl) "send every cop we have after him" (you), once he says that a LOT of black corvettes should follow and try and catch you and you can't run away from them, but after a while of them chasing you, Mia should call you and say "don't worry just head to the broken bridge" (it should appear in your map after the call) head there and you will beat the mission!

Final Pursuit
After you beat Razor, you will see a clip of how you get your M3 GTR back. Then you will see Sgt. Cross arrest every Blacklist Racer in one spot and call on every unit available to arrest you. After 5 minutes, Mia will notify you to head toward and old, broken bridge. (Note: The bridge is near Rosewood so hang around there). Since you cannot go to any of your safe houses or hideouts because your "Evade" meter isn't allowed to fill up, your only option is to jump the ramp. Once you get to the bridge, you will see a clip of your M3 GTR jump the ramp. After you see that, you will know that you have successfully outran the final pursuit.

Unlockable Heat Levels

Pursuit Blockades/Spike Strips
To go through a police Spike blockade you must hit the rear of the car or let a cruiser get in front of you before you hit the block.

$10,000
To get an extra $10,000 in career mode have a Need For Speed Underground or Need For Speed Underground 2 career game saved on your memory card. After the prologue you will get $10,000.

Free Ride
Go to northeast Rosewood. Cruise around until you find some fences, or a building you can drive through. You're gonna' be in a golf course. Cruise around! Don't worry about your cop meter (at the top) if it starts ticking. Just slow down a bit, but if you entered the golf course through one of the buildings, be careful, 'cause a lot of cops hang around there. Drive slow to get through the buildings.

2P Free Run
In West Park & Lyons, race until you go around 75%. Stop at the intersection. Look for a road right next to yours. Drive to it. Drive around the left corner and you're outta the race track. There will be no traffic.

Extra Trade In Cash
If you win a rivals car and you don't want to keep it or you're going to sell one of your old cars, run down to one of the local body shops and sell your rims, body kits, spoilers, etc. You can also get trade in cash for changing them.

Avoiding Police SUV's (RHINO Units)
In a police pursuit, if you find youself going head on into RHINOs, hit your NOS. That will make it go flying in the oppisite direction (sometimes flipping!?).But you have to have a pro, ultimate or junkman NOS system.

Get All Rivals Cars
The key to this hint is that whenever it says "Challenge Rival" go to the save menu and save the game. Whenever you beat the rival it gives you three markers. What I do is that I choose two of them. If the pink slip is not there reset the game. Beat the rival again and pick the marker that you didn't pick. This works 75% of the time.

Perfect Launch
Watch your tachometer when at the starting line. Get your needle in the blue right when the race starts to get a perfect launch and gain some time against your opponents.

Skip Police Chase After A Maximum Possibility Police Encounter Race
When you race any race that has maximum potential for police encounter, a police chase will ensue sometime during the race. After the race you will need to get away from them so that the win and money won will stay. To completely skip this sometimes tedious process after a race, wait until you see the "auto-save" icon at the top of the screen disappear. Once it has disappeared (completed auto-save), hit reset and reload your profile. The race will show complete along with the money credits in your bank account.

Change Race Options
When doing race events in career mode, there is a way to change the amount of traffic, catch-up on/off, and number of laps. For example, there is a race in "Race events" in the blacklist menu. It is a sprint type race, and the track is "Seagate & Camden". Go back to the main menu, and select quick race. Select custom race, and do a sprint on "Seagate & Camden". Set the options you want (i.e. No traffic, etc). Do the race. Go back into career mode and do that same race in the blacklist menu. Those options you selected in quick race mode will apply here. You can have no traffic, and turn off catch-up. It also means if you have a 4-lap circuit race in career mode, you can do this cheat and only have to do 1 lap.

2P Free Roam
First go to quick race and choose sprint. Then choose the race that says boundy and marina, then get to about 77% of the race complete and make a hard right next to the breakable glass take the alley and then your free roaming just don't go through the yellow arrow lines or you will have to do it again.

Roadblocks
When coming up on a roadblock, hit the rear part of the cop car. This will throw the cop car out of the way and you will not lose speed.

Avoid Sargent Cross
When Sargent Cross's team pulls up in front of you, throw the car into a powerslide U-turn. This will help you avoid being boxed in by the anti-street-racer squad.
