At the start of the race when it goes 3, 2, 1, GO, right after it says GO press X.

Star Attacks
Almost all new cars have star attacks. Lunar Loader: Shoots blue lasers (6 to 11). The Corporal: Shoots cannon balls that makes shockwaves (1 to 30). Skull Diggury: Purple Shockwave that makes opponent move to the end rail (1). Big Rock: Drops rocks from the back (1-3). Concept 3000: Boost lasts longer and faster (1 to 3, rarely).

Kill Butterflies
At the start screen, eject the game disc. The butterflies will fall to the grass. Note: You will lose all unsaved information.

Drive Faster
Your car will go faster if you drive in reverse. At the start of each race, quickly turn around and start driving in reverse. You will be behind, but can quickly catch up and win.

Fire Backwards
Hold R2 then hold Down while racing and fire. Press Up to fire bouncing bombs forward.

Avoid Fake Items
All items are in groups of 2-3. If there is a fake item bomb, there won't be any other items surrounding it.
